The Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA) has unveiled the Luxeed V9, an MPV that promises to revolutionize the automotive industry. This cutting-edge vehicle, jointly developed by Chery and Huawei, boasts an array of innovative features. One of its standout attributes is the inclusion of helmet airbags, a unique safety feature that sets it apart from traditional vehicles. The official images reveal a sleek and modern design, with a closed fascia that adopts Luxeed's family design language, reminiscent of the Luxeed R7. The vehicle's dimensions are impressive, measuring 5359/2009/1879 mm (l/w/h) and boasting a 3250 mm wheelbase. The interior is equally impressive, featuring a 2+2+3 seating layout, dual independent zero-gravity seats, triple screens, a ceiling entertainment screen, an oxygen generator, and a refrigerator. The Luxeed V9 is powered by Huawei's "Snow Owl Intelligent Silent Range Extension System," which utilizes a 1.5T engine as the range extender and dual electric motors, paired with 37.017 kWh lithium iron phosphate and 53.352 kWh ternary lithium batteries from CATL. This setup delivers a comprehensive range of 1,200 km, with three pure electric driving ranges of 158 km, 223 km, and 210 km (assuming under WLTC conditions). The vehicle also incorporates Huawei's DriveONE 800V silicon carbide high-voltage platform. The Luxeed V9 is set to be launched in the first quarter of 2026, targeting high-end family-oriented and executive consumers, with a price range of 400,000 to 500,000 yuan (57,400 to 71,700 USD). It will compete with models like the Li Auto Mega, Zeekr 009, and Voyah Dreamer.
