However, the protection waned over time, with the strongest protection seen in the first 70 days. The study also found a small reduction in fracture risk for boosted individuals, suggesting that not all confounders were accounted for. This raises questions about the validity of the study's conclusions. Despite this, the findings reinforce the importance of booster vaccination among people over 50 years old. The study provides further evidence that COVID-19 booster vaccinations reduced the risk of hospitalization and death.
